2015 Inamori Grants presented
The 2015 Inamori Grants (the 31th year) for a total of 51 million yen were awarded to 51 academic researchers in Japan. The presentation ceremony took place at the Grand Prince Hotel Kyoto on April 25. Each recipient was handed a grant from Kazuo Inamori, President of Inamori Foundation. The ceremony was followed by the 19th Annual Meeting of the Seiwa Scholars Society. Dr. Yasuhiko Tabata at Institute of Frontier Medical Sciences, Kyoto University, gave a lecture “To cure illness by boosting natural healing power – An importance of the biomaterials in the combined fields of Medicine, Technology, and Pharmaceutical Sciences for the regenerative medicine.” During the reception held at the end of the day, many Glants recipients and the grant selection committee members deepened exchanges across disciplines.
