2015 Inamori Grants recipients announced
The Inamori Foundation announced the 2015 Inamori Grants recipients on 6 March. The 51 researchers, 41 Natual Science fields and 10 Humanities and Social Sciences fields, were chosen out of 462 applicants and receive 1 million yen respectively. The annual Inamori Grant Program was launched in 1985 to support ingenious research by young scholars in Japan aiming at fostering human resources capable of contributing to the future society. As of April 2015, a total of 1,420 million yen has been given out to 1431 researchers.
