During the Kyoto Prize Week, November 8 through 17, we will commend the great achievements of the world wisdoms. The brocade autumn started to illuminate in yellow and red of the tree leaves around the Kyoto International Conference Center, the venue of Kyoto Prize Presentation Ceremony.
The Kyoto Prize Week opens at Kyoto and spreads over Japanese islands, east bound to Tokyo and south bound to Kagoshima. The international prize from Japan, “Kyoto Prize” will be celebrated with local citizens and attendants at the events.
Kyoto Prize banners illustrating Kyoto Prize Logo and Medal are annually arrayed to develop an atmosphere of festivity on the street lamps across 4km north-south stretch of Kyoto’s main road, Karasuma Street from Shiokoji Street near JR Kyoto Station to Marutamachi Street, and along the front street of the Kyoto International Conference Center. Also we are raising the outdoor advertisement panel at COCON KARASUMA building wall and the 78 bus stops in the main streets of Kyoto, featuring the laureates’ profile and achievement. Check it out!
