Whole the Kyoto City turns to a Museum

Effective January 25th, “Kyoto Museum Road” hosted by Kyohakuren starts.

In this event, total 92 cultural facilities (Museum, Art Gallery, etc) in Kyoto City are enrolled. If you collect 3 stamps, you could win a gift by lottery in a stamp rally. “Kyoto Prize Library” at Kyoto Univ. Inamori Center (Sakyoku, Kyoto) is joining in the rally, of course.

In this Kyoto Prize Library, you can enjoy Past Kyoto Prize laureates’ video message and the laureates’ achievement in plain words at each information panel. Plus, you can see the exhibition of the donated products from the past laureates. The following photo is just an example; original picture of the postage stamp to commemorate Nobel Prize (literature) winner Yasunari Kawabata (1968) that was gifted by the Nobel Foundation who received the special commemorative Kyoto Prize in 1985 (1st Kyoto Prize).

Taking this chance, please enjoy a Kyoto Culture Tour.
