Professor Woods, Dean of the Blavatnik School of Government (BSG) hosting the “Kyoto Prize at Oxford” appointed Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (CBE)!
“Kyoto Prize at Oxford” was born in U.K. on May, 2017. It is hosted by the BSG, University of Oxford. Dean of the School, Professor Ngaire Woods has been appointed CBE (presented by Queen Elizabeth II) in the New Year’s Honors “for services to Higher Education and Public Policy.”
Professor Woods commented “I am honored by this award which reflects the remarkable dedication of the staff, faculty and students of the BSG. The establishment of the School underscores what is possible when fantastic colleagues and supporters across Oxford and across the world come together to address a very serious challenge.”
The CBE is given for those who significantly contributed to the fields of economics, culture, arts, sports, and social works. In the past, Eric Clapton (2004), musician; Kate Winslet (2012), actress; Hiroo Imura (2016), medical scientist and chairman of the Inamori Foundation have been awarded.
The “Kyoto Prize at Oxford” May, 2018 will be held by BSG; the powerful and attractive events will be presented at around the epicenter “Inamori Forum” in BSG.
