The announcement of the 2011 Inamori Ethics Prize recipient

The 2011 recipient for the Inamori Ethics Prize has been announced by the Inamori International Center for Ethics and Excellence at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A. on April 1. This year's recipient is Ms. Beatrice Mtetwa, human rights attorney. The presentation ceremony will be held at the Case Western Reserve University on September 7.
In cooperation with Case Western Reserve University, the Inamori Foundation supports the annual Inamori Ethics Prize, established by the university in 2008. The center is dedicated to the establishment and worldwide promotion of a new ethics led by the sense of conscience shared by all humankind, through related research and education. The Inamori Ethics Prize is bestowed upon individuals who have demonstrated exemplary ethical leadership and made a major contribution to the betterment of human society through actions and influence. 2011 Kyoto Prize Symposium to be held in San Diego, U.S.A.

The 2011 Kyoto Prize Symposium featuring the 2010 laureates will be held from April 4 to 6 in San Diego, California, U.S.A. The Symposium is hosted jointly by the Kyoto Symposium Organization and three San Diego-based universities (University of San Diego, University of California, San Diego, and San Diego State University), with cooperation of the citizens of San Diego. The local residents and neighborhood high school students as well as members of the universities attend the symposium, which is continued over a few days. (Updated on April 1, 2011)
