INAMORI Music Day 2023 to Be Held in October-November

The Inamori Foundation will conduct “INAMORI Music Day 2023” in October-November, 2023 in Kyoto. Inviting a conductor Kenshiro Sakairi and a cellist Haruma Sato with the City of Kyoto Symphony Orchestra, we will hold a concert at Kyoto Concert Hall as well as concerts and lessons at Kyoto Prefectural Nishimaizuru High School. We will also offer performances of ensembles at Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art. Through this series of events, we will provide opportunities for many people to encounter music.

“INAMORI Music Day 2023” Concert in Kyoto Concert Hall

 

Two up-and-coming musicians will play with the City of Kyoto Symphony Orchestra. We aim to create a place where feelings and stories will resonate between musicians and audience.

“INAMORI Music Day 2023” Mini Concert at Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art

 

By offering performances of ensembles at the museum as a communication center of culture and arts, we will create opportunities for visitors to enjoy both music and art.

This year, the museum marks the 90th anniversary since its inception. “INAMORI Music Day 2023” School Concert & Lesson

 

We aim to create opportunities for high school students to be inspired for their future by performances and words of young performers attracting public attention now. This year, a conductor, Kenshiro Sakairi and a cellist, Haruma Sato will visit Kyoto Prefectural Nishimaizuru High School and hold concerts for the whole school as well as give lessons to the brass band club.
