Organelle-Mediated Intercellular Communication
Keyword
Summary
Intercellular communication has traditionally focused on signaling molecules such as growth factors, cytokines, and hormones. However, we have discovered that cytoplasmic organelles, including mitochondria, also communicate between cells to regulate cellular differentiation and function. Our findings suggest that such multicellular communication mediated by micro- and nano-scale organelles may influence macro-scale biological phenomena. Using unique mouse models, we aim to elucidate the detailed molecular mechanisms of this process and its broader impact on complex biological systems.

Message

We are moving beyond the traditional view of intercellular communication—centered on cytokines and growth factors—to reveal a hidden biological frontier: the dynamic communication of organelles between cells. This discovery promises to reshape our understanding of diverse pathologies. By leveraging our proprietary models and a micro/nanoscale lens, we are committed to solving the ultimate mysteries of life, ultimately driving a paradigm shift that will redefine the future of healthcare.
