Enhancing Astronomy by Neutrino Observations over Wide Energy Range
Keyword
Summary
Observation of the Universe and astrophysical objects via neutrinos is highly unique and important in the field of astronomy, as it provides access to information that cannot be obtained through traditional observations with photons. Over the next several years to a decade, various next-generation high-performance neutrino detectors are expected to begin operating, and accordingly, neutrino astronomy is anticipated to accelerate further. The energies of neutrinos that are primarily observed differ depending on the detector. Since neutrinos with different energies are produced by a wide variety of astrophysical activities, observations across these energies enable multifaceted studies of the same astrophysical objects. In this research, we develop a theoretical framework for such multi-energy neutrino observations and propose data analysis methods for observations with various neutrino detectors.
