Development of Deep Ultraviolet Transparent Conductors Based on High-Conductivity Epitaxial Interface
Keyword
Summary
The development of photoelectronic devices, such as solar cells and LEDs that use ultraviolet light, has recently been in high demand across a wide range of fields, including microfabrication, medicine, and space exploration. Although transparent electrodes that transmit light are essential for these devices, most conventional materials only transmit visible light and absorb ultraviolet light. In this research, we aim to develop novel electrode materials that exhibit high transmittance into the deep ultraviolet region by forming an epitaxial junction between two types of transparent materials, electron-correlated metals and ultra-wide-gap semiconductors, with an interfacial state that exhibits high electrical conductivity without degrading optical transmittance.
