Elucidating the Functions of Structural Connectivity Patterns in the Brain Connectome
Keyword
Summary
Conventional network analysis has shown that structural connectivity patterns in the brain connectome exhibit characteristic graph properties. However, it has not been clear exactly which cognitive functions these properties support. Here, we construct an artificial neural network model incorporating these patterns and apply it to various computer-based cognitive tasks. We then compare task performance with that of null models to verify the value of structural connectivity patterns in the connectome for each task.

Message

My goal is to deepen our understanding of the relationship between structure and function in the brain connectome by integrating it with artificial neural network models. Based on the insights gained from this research, I hope to promote the development of new artificial intelligence technologies that leverage the advantages of the connectome.
