Perfluorocubane, in which fluorine atoms are introduced to all carbons of cubane, a box-shaped molecule, has been expected to "capture an electron inside". We recently succeeded in synthesis of this molecule for the first time, and observed the electron trapped inside. Can an electron in this box be extracted? To answer this question, we will study the electronic conductivity of perfluorocubane.
