Non-equilibrium dynamics in quantum many-body systems: basic research for quantum information processing
Keyword
Summary
Quantum many-body systems have been studied in the fields of material science and statistical physics mainly from the aspect of basic research. Since research and development of quantum computers are progressing these days, they are attracting attention also from application aspects such as optimization problems and machine learning.
In quantum many-body systems, a wide variety of non-equilibrium dynamics emerges. The purpose of the research is to reveal its universal nature.
Basic research on quantum many-body systems contributes to the development of next-generation information processing technologies such as quantum computing.
