Creation of flexibility-variable nanosheets composed of multiple-stranded molecular ropes
Keyword
Summary
A molecular film as thin as a monolayer known as a “nanosheet” is attracting significant attention as a “next-generation material” for its utility in resource conservation and the miniaturization of industrial products. This proposed research is intended to develop a nanosheet that changes its flexibility and functions in a reversible fashion by triple-stranding molecular chains. If a nanosheet is given a new function of variable flexibility, it is expected that completely new values and possibilities of application will be created, such as a hemostasis membrane with strength that increases when reacting to iron ions in blood.
