An "optical function generator" that can generate arbitrary photoelectric field waveforms, such as square and triangular waves, in any dispersion medium is realized by making full use of a unique generation principle. We realize the interaction between arbitrary photoelectric fields and materials, which has been possible only in the vacuum or near the surface of materials, at the depths of all materials using existing optical technology platforms.
