Derivations of Rogers-Ramanujan type identities via representation theory of the affine Lie algebras
Integer partitions, such as 4 = 3+1 = 2+2 = 2+1+1 = 1+1+1+1, are fundamental mathematical objects. I tackle open problems in the theory of integer partitions using the representation theory of affine Lie algebras (in particular, vertex operator theory).


I would like to demonstrate that one can discover and prove Ramanujan-like identities by the power of representation theory even if not Ramanujan.
