Replace or restore? Evaluation of natural resource consumption based on the automobile resource circulation
Keyword
Summary
Recent studies have revealed that innovations in the automotive industry that seek to reduce carbon emissions may induce significant new resource burdens. In this context, more and more emphasis is being placed on the circular economy, but does the circular economy strategy really produce the expected resource reduction benefits? My research will focus on auto repair and aim to visualize the true resource reduction benefits. I hope that this research will help to formulate future guidelines for the car industry.

Comment

It is believed that the realization of a circular economy will solve various resource problems. However, looking at the trajectory of the human race to date, there have been many instances where magic words that seem to solve everything have caused other side effects. Circular economy strategies may also cause different problems if not managed properly. We hope that this study will help the car industry to develop appropriate guidelines for the future.
