Research topics
Identification of molecular mechanism of “Bauplan” to determine anteroposterior body axis formation in vertebrates
All vertebrate animals share a similar anatomical pattern from the head down along the backbone. This proposed research is intended to elucidate the molecular entity that makes up this shared anatomical pattern, which has been preserved across species, from the perspective of developmental biology.

Message from recipient

I have recently been given a chance to work on a research topic for which I have long held great hopes, and I thank the Inamori Foundation for offering me the grant to engage in this rather challenging project.
