Development of a chemical tool to optically manipulate the formation and dissociation of organelle membrane contact sites
Recent studies have shown that membrane contact sites formed between different organelles are important for exchanging intracellular signaling factors such as lipids and calcium ion. In this study, we develop chemical tools for optically controlling the formation and dissociation of organelle contact sites by extending our photo-regulation technique for intracellular protein localization.

I am grateful and humbled to have been selected for the prestigious Inamori Research Grant. We will continue to develop our research and aim to develop innovative technologies through this grant.
