Development of Circularly Polarized Luminescence Materials Based on Azahelicenes
Keyword
Summary
Helicene is a chiral π-conjugated compound in which a benzene ring or a heterocyclic ring is condensed at the ortho-position to form a spirally extended conjugated system, and is expected to be used as a chiral optical material and an asymmetric catalyst. However, the synthesis of helicene is complicated, and the resulting helicenes are usually racemic mixtures of P- and M-bodies, which are difficult to optically split. We have recently discovered a short-step synthesis of azahelicene, and in this study, we will establish a mass synthesis method of optically active azahelicene, and then develop various azahelicene derivatives for circularly polarized light emitting materials.

Comment

Thank you very much for accepting my application. We will aim to develop high-efficient circularly polarized light-emitting materials based on the support provided by this grant.
