Research topics
Development of a method to augment endogenous incretin secretion by targeting vascular endothelial and intestinal NAD+ metabolism
Summary
The purpose of this project is to test the hypothesis that vascular endothelial and intestinal epithelial NAD+ biosynthesis regulates endogenous incretin production. In addition, we would investigate if boosting NAD+ biosynthesis in vascular endothelial and intestinal epithelial cells augments incretin secretion especially in obesity.

Comment

I believe that our project helps to facilitate translational research to better understand the importance of NAD+ metabolism in vascular endothelial and intestinal epithelial cells.
