Research topics
Winter climate change and increase of deer population could decrease the advantage of tree regeneration on fallen log in boreal forests
Summary
This project aims to clarify the influence of winter climate change such as snow reduction on the growth of boreal trees. Special focus will be payed on the importance of deer herbivory and competition with understory vegetation to understand the consequence of winter climate change on the tree growth.
