Light-driven hydrogen production by a combination of an abiotic photosensitizer and a biocatalyst
Keyword
Summary
Solar light-driven hydrogen production from water using photocatalysts is an ideal approach for clean hydrogen production. This study aims to develop a new light-driven hydrogen production system by combining an abiotic photocatalyst and a biocatalyst. Such system integrates both features of efficient, stable, and low-cost light energy conversion by abiotic photocatalysts and selective, effective, and environmentally benign catalysis by biocatalysts, and will contribute to achieving the sustainable society.
