Analysis for mechanisms of carcinogenesis driven by autoinflammation
Keyword
Summary
It is becoming clear that sterile innate immune activation and inflammation induced by cancer and tissue damage negatively affect the adaptive mechanisms of the organism. However, the mechanism of induction of non-infectious inflammation is not yet fully understood. I will screen for Drosophila individuals exhibiting auto-inflammation as a genetic disease using Drosophila with an evolutionarily conserved innate immune system. The aim of the study is to identify auto-inflammation and its causative genes that contribute to the development of cancer.
