Elucidation of the Mechanisms by Which Maternal Inflammation Aggravates Type 1 Diabetes in Offspring
Keyword
Summary
Maternal viral infections during pregnancy may affect the development of the infant’s gut microbiota, increasing the risk of type 1 diabetes. This study aims to elucidate how maternal inflammation influences the child’s gut environment and immune system, and to explore new interventions to mitigate diabetes onset. This research will provide insights into the long-term effects of maternal health on the next generation and contribute to future diabetes prevention strategies.

Comment

The maternal environment during pregnancy plays a crucial role in shaping the health of the next generation, influencing disease risk across generations. This study aims to elucidate the mechanisms underlying type 1 diabetes onset and explore preventive interventions starting from pregnancy. Through this research, we seek to generate new insights and contribute to strategies for maintaining long-term health across generations.
